TRAINING/Education
As Professionals who works from an evidence-based and person-centered types of services, we understand that as parents of children with Autism are overwhelmed with different services they may need to help their child/ children to improve their quality of life.
Therefore, we offer :
Parental Education (Free): We believe that by providing parents with education they need to work with their child/children with Autism in other environments they may find themselves is very crucial in promoting quality of life for their child/children while minimizing the possibility of regression. We believe in working with family as a “whole unit” to promote confidence both for parent and their child/children.
Support Staff Education (Paid): We understand that support staff (ECE’s, CYW’s, CYC’s, DSW’s etc.), there is need to understand behaviours and ways to work with young people who may have some behavioral difficulties. We are here to give you the education, training, information and resources you need to better support our young people living with Autism and/or other developmental disabilities.
Older Sibling Advocacy Education (Free): Through sibling Education, we teach the siblings of a child/children with Autism about their sibling disability and how they can support their brother or sister. Through this education, it creates opportunity for sibling involvement with plan of care of their sibling. They become equipped with knowledge and skills to help their parents by doing so they all spend time together as a whole family.
